2013 Week 48

Feeling very Christmassy and festive around here.
The kids got new lights for the mini trees in their rooms.
The elves are here and up to their usual mischief.  We've found them TPing the tree, trapped by the plastic Army Guys, swinging from the ceiling fan with a countdown paper chain, mistaking the dog biscuits for cookies...
This year we bought the kids Lego Advent Calendars.  They love them.  This is the first thing they get to do every morning, as soon as they are fully dressed and ready for school.
It was a big week for drying rack orders, especially custom sizes and colors.
And of course Tyler's birthday!  Our little guy turned 7 this week!  He started the day (Thursday) with cake batter waffles (yes, he does sleep with his pajamas tops unbuttoned lol) and gifts.

Then homework after school.  Don't you just love the tie?  He couldn't wait to wear it to school.

Lucky for Tyler, Sam got off work early (they had night fire, but let him go early) so the guys hung out while Kaitlyn and I joined the girls scouts at the nursing home to play games and hand out ornaments.  Then we met Tyler and Sam at Burger King (Tyler's choice) for dinner before heading home for pjs, chocolate pie (Tyler's pick instead of cake - he's a choc-o-holic!), and bedtime.
Then Saturday was the big birthday party!  This year's theme - Skylanders (it's a video game the kids are obsessed with right now).

We had a good turn out.  Obviously I had asked them to make silly faces for this photo, but it's a good illustration of the personality of this bunch - wild and crazy and full of energy!
